Photo Editing and Retouching

Here are some examples of various photos that I have retouched and edited for classes and for personal projects.

Some of the work done includes placing a masking layer over the shirt and turning it black, adding more color to the tarot card that is face up, adding the various twinkling lights in the background and generally recoloring the image.

For this personal experiment, I was attempting to make a double exposure image. I used the swimmer in the foreground and the water in the background to make it seem as if the swimmer was ‘one with the water.’

The final example of double exposure created a hot air balloon and a sunrise at the beach into an interesting juxtaposition. This was also a product of experimentation and not used for a class assignment.

Here are some other photos that were edited and cropped between the original and final versions.

The second one is cleaner and has some of the unnecessary lines erased from the background.

This image was cropped to focus on the goggles and the image was brightened as a whole to give more contrast to the goggles.
